Our staff are committed to providing holidays and journeys which go ‘beyond the brochure’ to create enriching experiences. We don’t have shareholders pushing for higher margins and big profits like our larger rivals, which means we can offer top-end service on the ground for less.

With over 35 years in business, at our core is our team’s vast destination expertise. We don’t sell destinations we don’t know. We’ve been there – often many times! In many cases we’ve lived there too, and this is how we know the many small local details which make holiday run smoothly and include special insights to help you to see a side to a destination that others may miss.

Every tailor-made itinerary or bespoke group itinerary that we prepare is hand-crafted from scratch, with hotels, guiding or excursions carefully chosen to meet your requirements and preferences. We know that not everyone wants a cultural holiday every time. We’ve got beach holidays covered too, and you can relax in the knowledge that we’ve applied the same personal attention and destination expertise to those that we do to our other holidays. From Bora Bora to the Maldives, we’ve been there too and we’d love to share them with you!
Sirocco Luxury Travel is part of Temple World, a cultural travel specialist founded by archaeologist Dr David Price Williams and his wife Sue in 1985. When David and Sue retired and their daughter Alice took up the reins, Alice brought her years of expertise in the tailormade travel industry with her, and added a tailormade department to the business.
Having learned all the trade secrets to be gained from working at one of the most prestigious luxury tour operators in the UK and USA, Alice knew that Temple World had the destination expertise to offer the same standard of superbly curated private explorations to all seven continents. Critically, because of its far smaller size and lower overheads, these beautiful trips could be offered at far more reasonable prices. The concept took off and the tailormade team now includes four ace destination experts.
With the growth of the tailormade team, in January 2024 Temple World decided each side of the business should have its own identity, launching a dedicated new brand just for tailormade travel. We’ve called it Sirocco Luxury Travel, named for the mysterious winds of wanderlust which rise from the Sahara.
Today, Temple World continues to offer cultural small group tours and alumni travel at www.templeworld.com, whilst Sirocco Luxury Travel is now the home of our tailormade team. We’re excited about this new chapter in the life of this long-standing family business, and we’re delighted to have you join us.
